A Few Days Into It!!!!!
Mood:  cheeky
Topic: Grow Your Hair Longer
I am aiming to discover my MAXIMUM GROWTH POTENTIAL! I do not want to settle for mid-length hair. I'm only a few weeks into the challenge and I feel very confident that I'll find a combination to accelerate maximum growth.

VITAMIN COCKTAIL

I have modified my previous cocktail to incorporate a different element....Chlorophyll. Chlorophyll helps purify the liver, neutralizes toxins in the body, refines the body's tissues and assists in cellular growth and repair.

I've also included more Biotin. It is essential to hair growth. This vitamin is instrumental in the health of your hair, skin and nails.

Also, I decided that it might be beneficial for me to wear a preventive style as I continue my growth journey. I have a hair care regimen in place and will share it with you when I report the month end results.

Please remember that you must do FOUR things in order to achieve the growth that you want.... CLEANSE, MOISTURIZE, NOURISH AND PROTECT.

Cleanse- Cleanse with a great shampoo fortified with protein and amino acids. Hair cannot grow if the hair follicles are clogged.

Moisturize- Breakage occurs when the hair becomes dry and brittle. Your hair should be moisturized inside and out. After you shampoo, be sure to include a deep conditioner to add the essential moisture back into your hair. When styling, it's also great to use a light oil conditioner to give moisture to the hair and ends. (Do not use too much because it will weigh down the hair)

Nourish- Hair vitamins are a must! We deplete nutrients in our body daily. We should replenish these nutrients with vitamins. There are many great vitamins out there that are made to stimulate hair growth. the right vitamin could make your hair journey a lot easier!

Protect- What is the use of growing your hair out when you end up breaking it off again??? Many individuals' hair grow at a normal rate, but it's often not seen because it breaks. Most of the popular styles do not keep healthy hair in mind. You must pay close attention and be careful when you select your hairstyles. You wouldn't want anything that would damage they progress that you've made. Knowing how to protect your hair from daily styling, heat, chemicals and sun would greatly move you in the direction of healthier hair.

Hair Growth----02/03/06
Mood:  a-ok
Topic: Grow Your Hair Longer
I am very excited today! This is my fist blog! Many of my friends have blogs and I visit them on a regular basis. Then I thought, HEY, I SHOULD CREATE ONE.

I was inspired to create this blog because there are so many people out there wanting to grow their own hair. Some believe that they simply do not have the "genetics" to grow their hair long. THAT IS NOT TRUE! When I was younger, I thought that you had to have a "good" grade of hair to get extreme growth...WRONG AGAIN! I decided to seek the truth. I wanted to know if there was a way that we ladies could grow out our hair without relying on extensions to give us length.

Last year (2004) I decided to "try" to wear my own hair. It was an okay length, but I was tired of wearing extensions all the time. So, I permed my hair with an off brand perm and colored my hair the next day.... I decided that I didn't like the color, so I dyed it back black. I KNEW BETTER!!!!!

My hair began to fall out left and right. I could not stop it. My hair looked as if it was chewed on the ends. It was definitely damaged. I ran to the local beauty supply and purchased a ton of extensions.

Nevertheless, I desperately tried products claiming to heal your hair and split ends. I spend hundreds of dollars trying to save my damaged hair...and guess what? I HAD to cut it!!! :(

Yes, I was pretty desperate by now. I found a company that sold vitamins over the Internet and they guaranteed growth. I had nothing to lose. I've tried everything else....

It grew from barely touching my ears to the middle of my back in 6 months!!!

Now I am CONSTANTLY researching growth techniques, hair nutrition and maintenance procedures.

I have achieved my growth. Now, it's time to throw more wood in the fire..... This time, I want to challenge myself to grow " 2 INCHES" of hair this month!!!!!!!!! I know I can do it. I will keep my results posted.

I invite any and everyone to experience this challenge with me!
